God wanted them to turn away from the evil things they are doing so He sent Jonah.<br /><br />But Jonah didn't want to obey God so he went on a boat sailing to the opposite direction of where Nineveh is.<br /><br />On the sea, the boat that Jonah was in encountered a storm. The sailors threw Jonah overboard and the storm calmed down.<br /><br />Then a big fish came along and swallowed Jonah for 3days and 3 nights.<br /><br />Jonah prayed to God for help in the tummy of the big fish.
